Description
Tartan of Flowers Printed Vegan Suede Cushion features a colourful garden with a bold red poppy and bumblebee. It measures 45 x 45 cm. My design is on the front printed onto soft faux-leather and the reverse is a plain black.
My felted artwork has been professionally photographed. Then the image has been printed with high quality inks onto vegan suede and then sewn into a cushion. They are custom printed and stitched for me in the UK.
The cushion cover is washable and you may choose whether you have the polyester fibre insert or not.
The original of Tartan of Flowers was started in June of 2019. I spent the day at Barnsdale Gardens where I took photos of all the flowers that were blooming in the garden that day. Then I sat in their garden studio and began creating the piece. I used a mix of Merino wool, silk and curls to create the depth and patterns in this piece. Most of it was wet felted but I did add some fine needle felted details.
