I set-up my business as a self-employed artist/teacher in June 2010, since then I have taught people of all ages and abilities how to felt.
I teach the instant gratification of felting. The techniques I teach I have created myself so that they are achievable for anyone who comes to my workshops. I spend countless hours playing with wool and I create something at least 50 times before I teach it to people.
Most of my workshops are based near my home in Lincolnshire but I also travel to Cambridgeshire, Northamportonshire and Bristol to teach workshops. Currently all of my classes are single stand alone workshops and are aimed at beginners. I teach a lot of techniques in my workshops and therefore some people attend them more than once.
My felting workshops are offered monthly at Riverside Beads in Market Deeping and Stamford Arts Centre. I also do a couple workshops regularly at Fabric Plus Ltd. in Bristol and Peterborough Museum.
Due to COVID-19 I only taught outside last year after April. I haven’t made any plans for workshops in 2021 but will add them to this page once I do.
To celebrate my 10 year anniversary of being a self-employed Artisan Felter & Teacher. I’m going to share a how to video that I made this week. Yes I’d love to do more, but my goodness do they take a long time to make!
If you would like to buy a kit to make one or more they are £10 for an a4 size rainbow or £16 for an a3 including postage to the UK.
50% of profits from the sale of the kits will be going to the Samaritans, because sometimes we all need someone to listen ❤️
Enjoy and I hope I can make more in the future.
