Spring Tulips Original Artwork

Description

Spring Tulips Original Artwork features bright and colourful spring tulips blooming. The trees are full of pastel blossom and the ground is covered in crocuses, daisies and primroses.

This original is inspired by the day I went to Barnsdale Gardens in April and took hundreds of photos of their tulips blooming all over the garden. I returned to my studio and created this piece.

It is wet felted using a mix of merino wool, silk threads, yarn, wool curls, skeleton leaf and firestar.

My original felted art is 59 x 29 cm and is stitched on to a large piece of white mount board that is 73 x 50 cm. I stitch my work onto a large piece of mount board so that it is safe while being posted. Once it arrives you can decide with your framer how much border you’d like around the original work. I sign my work in pencil at the bottom right hand corner and tend to leave a 4 to 10 cm border around my originals when I frame them.
