From the Cliff’s Edge, Polruan Original Artwork
From the Cliff’s Edge Original Artwork is a view I saw while I was staying in Polruan on my trip to Cornwall in October 2021. Looking down from the cliff’s edge there was a range of plants and rocks. The sea was hitting the rocks below and a group of Sea gulls were flying over my head and down to the sea.
This piece is mostly wet felted with merino wools and silk fibres. I have added some 3d pebbles to give it more texture. I needle felted the gulls onto it.
It is 22 x 22 cm square and is stitched onto a piece of mountboard ready for framing. This piece is stitched onto a piece of mountboard that is 30 cm square.
While I was in Cornwall I took over 2000 photos so I’m sure there will be more of my art that is influenced by the coast.
