Barnsdale Gardens Midnight Owl Felted Picture 10:30am-3:30pm

Learn how to create a wet felted night scene and a realistic needle felted flying owl in the afternoon.  This class will focus on how to create realism in your needle felting.  This class is wet felting in the morning and needle felting in the afternoon. The piece will be approximately 45 cm square once felted. This class can be completed by beginners but it is more advanced that my usual landscape workshops.

New for 2024: Classes will include Faffing with Fluff printed sheets so you can continue working on your artwork at home, plus a instructions for making wet felted pictures. You may also take a small bag of materials plus your needle home with you to continue working. Foam blocks will be available for sale plus bags of wool.

 

Please bring an apron, rubber gloves (for touching hot water) and small hand towel. All other materials will be supplied.

The workshop is 10:00am-3:30pm and will be held in the studio at the back of the gardens. This is accessible from the carpark. Garden admission is not needed to come into the studio.

There will be a lunch break from 12:30-1:20 where you may eat in the cafe onsite or bring your own packed lunch.

£75 will include all materials & instructions

This workshop is limited to 6 students, which allows for plenty of space between. This workshop will not be cancelled due to low attendance.

Please note there are no loos in the studio. The loos are located in a small building in the middle of the carpark, so please bring appropriate clothing if it’s raining or snowing.
