Wet Felted Flowers Workshop at Barnsdale Gardens Sunday 24 May 2-4pm

Learn to make 2 felted flowers using Merino wool roving and silk fibres. The techniques are easy for anyone to follow. This course will focus on playing with colours and is a great introduction to wet felting.

With a bit of hot water and soap we will agitate the fibres using our hands so the wool sticks together (felts) and then you’ll learn how to sculpt them into beautiful flower shapes. We will use beads and wire to add centres and stamens to the flowers.

This workshop is held in the studio at Barnsdale Gardens.  This is accessible from the carpark. Garden admission is not needed to come into the studio.

I will bring most of the materials with me, please bring a small hand towel.

Possible allergies: We will be using 100% wool and fairy liquid soap. If you are allergic to wool then this is not the class for you. If you are allergic to fairy liquid, please bring gloves.

Please note there are no loos in the studio. The loos are located in a small building in the middle of the carpark, so please bring appropriate clothing if it’s raining or snowing.
