Adventure Original Artwork 32 x 37cm
A fox strolls through the darkness lit gently by the moonlight. He waits and listens by a tree and then pushes through the thicket until he sees the creek flowing gently over the rocks.
This piece came from the wacky side of my brain and was inspired first by the colours of wool: orange and turquoise. I played with many scenes before deciding to felt this one together. The turquoise twists through the sky, around the tree, through the thicket and into the stream. This picture is of a colourful landscape with mountains, a lake, fields and a bare tree. There is a stream with 3D felted pebbles, a fox emerging from the thicket and a glowing copper moon stitched into the sky.
The background is wet felted merino wool and silk fibres, the fox is needle felted using British Wools and the moon is made from enamelled copper.
The felted artwork is 32 x 37cm and is stitched on a piece of mount board that is larger.
