Badger Portrait Framed Original Artwork
Felted original artwork of a realistic badger. I created this piece by layering lots of colourful merino and shetland wool. Those layers were wet felted together and then I added needle felted details like the eyes and nose.
“This is an exceptional piece of art with eyes that look like glass.” A comment made when it was hung at a recent exhibition.
In December 2021 I decided to take on the challenge of creating a series of 5 detailed animal portraits for a Wildlife Exhibition in March 2022. I started with the fox, then a hare and then this badger. He is made from a variety of wool and silk fibres. He has been wet and needle felted.
This original piece is stitched onto a piece of mount board that is 50cm square. It is signed in the bottom right corner by me.

The photo with the fox original also shows the giclée prints laying under the originals.
