Summer Hares original artwork is a delightful spring wildflower meadow including a series of needle felted hares to brighten a room in your home. The felt artwork measures approximately 73 x 18cm and the frame is 90 x 35 x 5 cm.
Summer Hares by Eve Marshall Artisan Felter made from wool and silk fibres that have been wet and needle felted. This piece features 5 hares and lots of wildflowers. It has a light blue and turquoise sky with green grass . It is a panoramic piece that is long and thin with a wobbly edge.
I love to create panoramic pieces because I find that as an artist I can get lost in the details of creating them and the viewer can also get lost looking into the finished art piece. This panoramic began as a green meadow with blue sky and then I decided to add a variety of hares in different positions among the wildflowers. Living in the countryside I often see hares when I’m out riding my bike or in my car. I think they are such majestic creatures and full of character.
This listing is for the framed original. It is stitched onto acid free off white mount board and I have signed the piece in pencil.
