Irises II Original Artwork
Deep rich teals and olive greens were the beginning of this felted original. Shiny silk threads and curly green yarn came next. Purple Iris petals, pink blossoms, white fluffy balls on the tops of tall green stems. Chestnut seedlings growing through the flower bed.
I take lots of photos of spring gardens and this piece is inspired by my photos of last spring. I love the height and bright colours and shapes you find in a garden. I have added some silk fibres in the foliage.
This piece is 9 x 12 inches and is stitched onto a piece of mountboard that is 15.5 x 17 inches.
It will be wrapped in cellophane and posted flat.
