In the Still of the Night Original Artwork
In the still of the night, you are standing on the bottom of the sea bed looking out at the deep ocean in front of you. Large sea creatures are swimming silently through the darkness. All is still and all is calm.
This piece features the silhouettes of sharks swimming through a dark sea. There are beautiful textures included like wool curls for seaweed and silk threads for the light coming from the surface.
I wet felted this piece inspired by a calming dream I sometimes have. I created it earlier this year for a Vitamin Sea Exhibition.
The piece is stitched onto a piece of mount board that is approximately 50x 50cm and it will be posted flat.
