Oxcombe: Bluebell Woods Felted Landscape Workshop
Bluebell Woods Felted Landscape Workshop
Come along and learn how to wet felt a woodland picture using a mix of colourful merino wool roving, curls and silk fibres. You will spend the first hour choosing colours and layering up wool and textures to create your background. I will teach you how to create depth in your woodland with the different layers of fibre.
Then we will stick the fibres together using warm water, soap and agitation. The wet felting process takes about 20 minutes and requires a bit of rolling and rubbing the wool with your hands.
Then learn how to use a single felting needle to add details like branches, flowers, birds and animals to your picture. Lots of step-by-step pictures available to follow.
The finished piece will be approximately a4 size
Possible allergies: We will be using 100% wool and fairy liquid soap. If you are allergic to wool then this is not the class for you. If you are allergic to fairy liquid, please bring gloves.
