A Parcel of Oystercatchers Original Artwork
A large group of oystercatchers were so busy on the beach one day. I watched lots wading in the shallow waters by the beach. Several were out on the sandbar making a lot of noise and many more were flying back and forth over the sea. It was late March and I was wandering along beach in Hunstanton. Not many people walking along the beach and I was able to watch these quirky birds for a long time. It was the first time I had seen them so close. I took some photos and used them later in my studio to create this piece.
The artwork is wet and needle felted using Merino Wool and Silk fibres.
This piece 30 x 21 cm (12 x 9 inches). It is stitched onto a larger piece of white mount board with my pencil signature in the corner and ready to frame.
It will be wrapped in cellophane and posted flat.
