Goldfinch Original Artwork<\/p>\n
Inspired by a wander that I took in February 2023 through the village I live in and out into the fields. It was cold but sunny and I loved watching the light come through the hedgerows. Lots of birds were flying overhead and the goldfinches caught my eye with their bright yellow feathers. I took lots of photos of them and was inspired to create this piece once I had returned home.<\/p>\n
This piece has lots of texture that was wet felted into the hedgerow background with tiny details on the bird needle felted in the foreground.<\/p>\n
The piece is stitched onto a piece of mountboard that is 50 cm square and is currently framed in a natural oak frame. It will be on display at the Lincolnshire Artists’ Society Spring Show: Reflections open at Doddington Hall and Gardens from 29 March to 14 April.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
