Hare Portrait Original Artwork is a\u00a0unique felted larger than life portrait of a hare. I created this piece in January 2022 for a Wildlife Exhibition that I was part of in early March.<\/p>\n
I spent a long time perfecting the face shape so that he looked like a hare. He is made up of lots of brown, gold and copper wool colours. I started by wet felting the wool shape together and then added a lot of needle felted details.<\/p>\n
I used the photography of Sue Cross Wildlife (on Instagram) as the inspiration for this piece.<\/p>\n
The felted hare is stitched onto a piece of mountboard that is 58 x 70cm and is ready to frame.<\/p>\n
The other 3 animals in the series: Fox, Badger and Running Hare are also for sale.<\/p>\n
One of the photos shows the piece surrounded by the beautiful British wools I used to make him. The photo of me holding it,\u00a0 shows him on a larger piece of mountboard. I’ve since cut it down so instead is ia rectangle rather than a square.<\/p>\n
