Felted Fox Picture Workshop

Felted Fox Picture Workshop Sunday 13 July 2025. The workshop will run from 10am to 1pm at Barnsdale Gardens.

This workshop will be mainly focused on how to needle felt a realistic fox. We will spend a short time wet felting a background with colourful Merino wool and silk fibres. Then I will show you how to create a silhouette and then adding realism to the shape to become a fox. The class will show you step-by-step to create a fox of your choice on your background.

Each students work will be completely unique with all the colours they choose. The finished piece will be approximately A4 sized.

I will bring most of the materials with me, please bring a small hand towel. If you’d like you can bring an apron to protect your clothes from the soapy water, and rubber gloves (for touching hot water) but these are not mandatory.

Possible allergies: We will be using 100% wool and fairy liquid soap. If you are allergic to wool then this is not the class for you. If you are allergic to fairy liquid, please bring gloves.
