Stamford: Wet Felted Zoo Animal Portraits
Create a large (A3-ish) portrait of your favourite wild animal using a mix of wool and other fibres. Learn the process of wet felting and building up many layers of fibre to create a realistic animal full of character. No art experience needed and all materials and instruction included in the price.
The workshops are held upstairs in the Art Room at Stamford Arts Centre. This is an all day workshop with a 45 min lunch break at about 12:30. Please feel free to bring your own pack lunch, buy one in the cafe in the arts centre or walk into the centre and pick up a meal.
All the materials are included but feel free to bring an apron, rubber gloves (if you have a sensitivity to fairy liquid) and please wear comfortable clothes. Although I teach the instant gratification of felting this class does include an hours worth of rubbing and rolling to make the fibres felt together.
