Learn how to create a wet felted night landscape picture in the morning and a realistic needle felted flying owl in the afternoon. The finished piece will be approximately 45 cm square once felted and will be complete by the end of the workshop.
This class will focus on how to create depth and realism in your felting. This class is wet felting in the morning and needle felting in the afternoon.
This class can be completed by beginners.
Eve Marshall teaches the instant gratification process of felting where a large part of the morning is playing with colourful fluff and shiny fibres. There will be a big of strength needed to wet felt the fibres together at midday. Then a lunch break where you can bring your own or buy one locally. After lunch Eve will teach you how to needle felt a realistic owl.
- Please bring an apron and small hand towel. All other materials will be supplied.
- Wet felting requires some hand and arm strength for rubbing and rolling the wool. The wet felting process takes about 20 mins.
- When we needle felt, we use a sharp barbed needle, please handle with care.
