Barnsdale Gardens: Fox in the Winter Felted Picture
Barnsdale Gardens: Fox in the Winter Felted Picture
This class will focus on how to create a realistic fox. The morning will be spent wet felting a wintery landscape with merino wool, silk fibers and other textures. The afternoon you’ll learn how to needle felt a fox that is running or sleeping onto your landscape. The piece will be approximately 30 x 40 cm once felted. This workshop can be completed by beginners but it is more advanced than my regular felting workshops.
Once complete you could hang it on the wall, stitch it to a cushion or bag…you decide!
Please bring an apron, rubber gloves (for touching hot water) and small hand towel. All other materials will be supplied.
The workshop is 10:30am-3:30pm and will be held in the studio at the back of Barnsdale gardens. This is accessible from the carpark. Garden admission is not needed to come into the studio.
There will be a lunch break from 12:30-1:20 where you may eat in the cafe onsite or bring your own packed lunch.
£75 will include instruction and all materials.
This workshop is limited to 6 students, which allows for plenty of space between. This workshop will not be cancelled due to low attendance.
Please note there are no loos in the studio. The loos are located in a small building in the middle of the carpark, so please bring appropriate clothing if it’s raining or snowing.
