Bourne Artists Open Houses 17 & 18 June 2023

We are looking forward to welcoming you to The Elms in Aslackby for our Open Studio event in our garden. We will be open 10am-5pm on the 17th & 18th of June. Four artists will be taking part in the event at The Elms: Eve Marshall, Shalini Austin, Ella Jenkins and Emily Bowers. Each artist will have their own space to showcase their artwork and may also be demonstrating through out the day.

There will be refreshments served in aid of Brighter Future International including homemade cakes, tea, coffee and last year’s favourite- pimm’s. The Aslackby Plant Stall will also be set up in the garden.

“Welcome to the Old Town Hall’s second Artists Open Houses in Bourne and the surrounding area, the ethos of which is for artists and makers to open their doors and welcome you to explore their work.” from their website. There is also a main exhibition that takes place in the Old Town Hall that features a series of work by each of the 10 artists taking part in the trail. This exhibition is open 10th & 11th and 17 & 18 June from 10am-4pm and is free to enter.

I have entered 3 of my artworks to the Old Town Hall’s exhibition plus will have a huge variety of new work available at the Elms. I look forward to welcoming you to my mum’s garden and introducing you to my friend’s and their work. We hope the weather will stay dry for us, but if not we will set up inside the outbuildings and conservatory. The house is easy to spot because we’ve left the union jack bunting up. As you drive into Aslackby, you’ll pass the church on your right. The Elms is next to the church, set back from the road. The drive is shared, please do not block it, instead park in front of the church or on the village green. Most of the garden is wheelchair friendly with just a tiny step onto the lawn (see photo). Refreshments can be enjoyed in the garden and there will be lots of tables and chairs set up. Please contact me if you require more directions.
